The national reform of public procurement legislation in Finland is proceeding

The work to appropriately implement the renewed public procurement directives into the national legislation of Finland is currently under way. Recently the Finnish Ministry of Employment and Economy gave a quick update on the expected timetable for the renewal procedure. Currently the legislative initiative is being developed and refined further on the basis of the numerous statements given in September concerning the official 700 page working group report on the renewed directives and what needs to be added and altered in our national public procurement legislation.

We can expect an official government legislative proposal to be presented by the end of the winter.
